How to make pokémon better

This little article will focus on the pokémon games and what would make them better.
Keep in mind that i do not intend to write about things that we all know would never happen (IE: real time character and environment development)

Battle speed
One of the main things about all pokémon games that they can majorly improve upon is the speed of the battles.
I would even go as far as to say that they need not improve on the battle scenes as long as they improve the speed of the battles.
They're way to slow in every iteration of the game.

Battle Graphics
Speaking of battle scene. It would appear as if they're doing a major overhaul on the battles in the newest black and white versions. At least in the looks department.
But to me, the best improvement they can make in the battles is to add particle effects on the moves.
Golden sun had it, and that was a debut gba game. Just imagine how awesome the moves would look with real time rendered particle effects.
I personally think they should focus on that rather then the sprite details of the moves.

As you can see, the skills used on the doom dragon in golden sun looks amazing. This is GBA by the way.

Battle Animations
The other little battle detail that i hope they'll also improve on is the animations of the pokémon.. TO not make it look as static as before. Just seeing them stand there feels a bit dull after so many iterations and so many years.
Make them at least animate properly with like.. 10 different animations for each pokémon.
You know. When they get hit, when they attack and so on.

Battle camera
The last battle detail i hope they'll improve on is the camera. Again, it seems they're doing a major overhaul here as well.
But i hope they'll do it somewhere similar to how golden sun did it. Having cameras move around to make moves look way more epic.. Oh yeah!!!

All in all, the battles looks promising though

The world map
Seriously!! You've made so many worldmaps at this point that it would be stupid of you to not include every single one of them. I know that i might be asking for much, but i really think the idea you had in the 2nd generation was awesome. To make you able to traverse old ground, and even have a bunch of fun sidequests there. And even complete the gyms there!! Now that would be bad-ass.

Imagine a take such as this, but on towns your familar with. Different camera angels and awesome looks on towns from the old days? Sign me in!
Insistently, this reminds me of earthbound

Interesting NPCs
Make the NPCs more interesting.
Yes.. We get it! NPCs talking about what they did with their pokémon to give you clues on how and what you can do, NPCs talking about the town you're in and NPCs saying useless stuff.. Why not just make them a little more interesting.
Sure, there's games who's done a far worse job then gamefreak has. But i personally would love to see a little more interesting and lovable cast of NPCs.

Witty, clever, funny and plain awesome dialogs is what the writers and translators of the mother series was aiming for. If pokémon even had close to that, it would be good enough for me. More light-heart humor and less bad puns. Even though i personally love puns.

More sidequests
I LOOOOVe the sidequests in pokémon. To go through some mountain or tower just to meet a strong trainer or a strong pokémon! That's awesome!
Even finding the ancient tombs and unowns and such. It gives the land you're in, a lot more personality.

Stronger trainers
Speaking of..
More strong trainers. Most of the trainers are pushovers, and i don't like that. To know that you're gonna win every single battle you get into is not fun.
I get that you'd want to have that in the beginning of the game, and i also get that the gymleaders should be harder and have strategies to them, but seriously. Just up the level of the trainer's pokémons.
Don't make them throw out 6 magicarps that's a complete waste of time!

Even story required trainers are push-overs

TMs that are easier to find and to get multiple of
I understand that some moves are so good that they should be rare, and it's good that.. wait..
You haven't done that, have you?! I can buy however many super strong elemental moves that i want, and for some reason, even sucky TMs are very hard to get and comes in one..
Maybe make more sidequests and minigames that would reward you with a random TM in a limited list or something.

More moves
Speaking of TMs.
Why not make more. A lot of moves with a lot of sweet strategies.

Say no to events
Stop making "event items/pokémons" and things that are impossible to get.
I never ever saw the mirage island, i never won the lucky id nr thing.. I never got a mew or celebii.

You're not the first to be surprised at this scene. You need to attend some "events" or whatever to be able to meet that pokémon.

I want to buy elixirs
From my knowledge, this could never be done. In any version.
I mean.. Make them into insane prices if you must, but at least make us able to buy them.
Oh, and same with PP ups as well. Sure, i think you can win a bunch of these as of 2nd generation. So i guess that's fine.

Make even bigger cities
A pokémon metropolis with a bunch of people and maybe even two gyms!! Now, wouldn't that be pretty dang cool!!

I GUESS i can't complain! Looks like water 7(Link).. Almost? Anyone?

The game shouldn't be in the end game part at lv 60ish
Make the trainers at places have pokémons that can be as strong as level 90 or something.
The game should be far from over after the elite four.

All trade!!
Ok. This one might be a little of a stretch..
But considering that you made some stupid peripheral "pokéwalker" that was just a gimmick earlier. Then why not make something so that you can actually trade over pokémons from ANY version! That would stop making the older games obsolete.

Co-op
More stretches!!
I want co-op. Seriously. No matter how you do it, if it's extension into the main quest or if you make an entire new co-op file completely. Co-op would be so freaking cool!!
I seriously don't know what you're waiting for.
I mean.. At least let us co-op the battle tower or something like that.
Two players, three players, four players! Whatever! It would be awesome!!

Get rid of the old old old old ooooolllddd sounds
I mean.. Yea.. They were a novelty. But it's worn off and you seriously need to give all pokémons more pokémon-esk sounds. They can't sound as if they were just ported from the first game, forever!!

Stop it!!
Yes! We KNOW that there's a new professor, new starter town, new ADVENTURES TO BE HAD!! And all that jazz!
It's all fine and dandy, it's pokémon.. But maybe you should at least give proper immersion and storytelling a chance.

What happened to the secret base!!?!?
I might be alone on this, but i loved the room decoration in the second generation, and i thought that the secret base thing in the 3rd generation had a lot of potential. And it also gave you more reasons to save all those pokédollars that you always stored up just to buy an overextended supply of medicine and what not!!

The beauty contest
I thought it was amazing that all those USELESS and WEAK pokémon were given a chance in the beauty contest in the 3rd generation!
It was also very fun and gave good rewards. So why not have that? I loved it!! Please bring it back (:

Phonebook, night and day improvements; weather
The phone could get some enhancements with the ability to add a lot more, and maybe people that are not even trainers.
Day and night could have a more fluid transsision. You know.. Maybe seeing fog in the morning or something.
Speaking of. Weather! Maybe it'll rain sometimes, maybe you'll be able to see the clouds in the reflection of the water. Maybe it'll just be cloudy, maybe it'll be very sunny.
Sure, they had it pretty good in the 4th and the remakes, but i want it to be even better.

Artist You've hinted on weather before.. Come on..

Character creation screen!!
I've seen so many awesome custom pokémon trainers. A character creation screen would be awesome!
Even if it's only to chose between presets.
What i would want though. Is for the player to chose between some default presets. Or if they want to go further, chose clothing (Ala, dress-up game) and even create one from 100% scratch with availability for import from PC. Yes, yes yes!!!!
Imagine that! So much custom awesomeness. Everyone's unique and personalized.

Synchronization
And another feature to compliment that would be the ability for synchronization!
Ok. Hear me out!
Imagine that you would be able to synchronize so that people in your game becomes sprites that other people has created. Maybe a lot of awesome ones, or maybe you just want to see your friend walk around.

Gahh!!! Maybe i am stretching everything too much!

So what can i really say?
I personally hope that it'll have a lot of new fun stuff.
I really love how it seems to focus more on nice 3d angels and simply more eye-pleasing visuals.
It seems they're putting a lot of time into the graphics this time around. Which makes sense, cause that's what it always lacked.
I mean, a lot of the systems they've thought of, they've done exceptionally well.

Maplestory(!!!!) 18 patches later

Before making a blog about Nintendocaprisun AGAIN(!), i just wanted to write a little about Maplestory, and what thoughts i experienced when logging onto that game, 18 patches after i had quit..

So yea. I logged onto Maplestory yesterday, and well.. 18 patches makes you think that maybe this is another game.
Before i start to ramble about how the "GOOD OLD DAYS WERE SO MUCH BETTER!!!1one", i would just like to point out that i expect this. Everything that's dynamic changes, and Maplestory is no exception.
Of course the game is gonna feel different for someone who played it for two years from the point when it was hardly one year old, and then loggs onto the game, 18 patches later.

So what are the changes anyway?
Well, i wish i could provide you with some screenshots i took, from those long gone times, but the disc where i had all those screenshots crashed on me. So there's nothing i can really show.
But sure, i could fetch some pix of teh interwebz. So it won't be only text.

Visually, the game really didn't change much anyway. Mostly, they just added a bunch of cool looking areas and expanded on the vast world of maplestory.
No.. The biggest changes i could see is the intent of the game. Let me elaborate on that.
It isn't about the RPG and what time will eventually reward you with. Instead, they made it much more accessible and much more about the.. Spending real money. Which i guess, is what they always wanted and i guess that was to be expected.
But never could i imagine that they would basically replace achievements from getting stronger with spending time in the game with achievements from buying things with real money.

All i can really say is that it's a perfect reflection of what the western culture is all about.
Buy stuff for real money, and you've achieved more then the person who works their way up.

Maplestory?!?!?!?

After about 1½ years since i finally quit maplestory, i feel like playing it again.
I don't know why i'm getting these urges. I feel like i want to start from zero and work my way up the ranks (:
That's the appeal for me.

If i do start, i might just start updating this blog with status on maplestory as well.

Bad day

Ugh.. Today just wasn't my day.
It starts off with me having to wake up an hour and a half earlier then i usually do, just go to some information thing with AF in Sweden (Don't read too much into it). It wasn't too fun, and i don't really think that i learned anything new.

Then i took the bike home (Yes, i have quite a long ride from town to home). It was windy outside and it was blowing towards me. It was kind of annoying. Was feeling a bit tired as well.
Then i got home only to find out that i had to go to town again. I forgot to buy a ticket to Stockholm. I'm gonna use it the 29th so that i can get there to do a test i have to do to be able to get into the school that i've applied to.
So i'm gonna have to wake up early that day.

Then i got home where my mom told me that i bought a ticket that would make me unable to walk from the station to the school. So she told me that i didn't listen to her and that i was living in my own world.. Something that i just don't like hearing. But maybe i am living in my own world.

Then most of the day was just awkward and just.. Not good.
And right now, i somehow managed to bump my dad with the door to my room, and then my mom.. I feel like i'm just a bother.

Also, screw attack was playing naiive with the whole "using a free preview video to get money" thing as well.
I won't go into detail. All i'm gonna say is that i'm highly disappointed.
One of their fans tried to convince me that i was wrong and that it was a "user movie" as well. Which is strange, cause it was filed under screw attack, and no other user movie i've seen on gametrailers has ever been that.
And Gametrailers was high profile about this preview video as well. Dang.. Oh well, it's gone now, and it's really none of my business.

Anyway.. I do have pretty low selfesteem. Maybe all of it is for good reason anyway. I do blame myself for getting into pointless arguments that is of no "normal person's" buisness and for always making stupid decisions..

Today has not been my day. I think i'm going insane.

Top 8 Zelda dungeons

Just thought that i would make my own little personal top 8 list of my favorite dungeons in all Zelda games.
Keep in mind that it's my own personal opinion, and nothing else.

The rules that i've set up for myself is to use only two dungeons per game. This is to keep me from picking from one game and/or few games.
Finally, with dungeons; i'll also include special dungeons and final dungeons. Basically any dungeon that has a name.
Oh, and if i don't mention the dungeon at all, that probably means i find it moderately funny at best and boring at worst.. Or.. I just didn't include them cause i can. I haven't played Phantom hourglass or spirit tracks.

8. Oracle of Ages: 6th temple Mermaid's Cave
It's probably one of the few (What i would consider) water temples that i like. The reason is cause of one: It's atmosphere! I love atmosphere in games!
But more importantly, the uniqueness of the temple.
For you see.. A little now and then, when you find yourself stuck in the temple, you need to go outside of it to go to either the past or the future. The temple is affected by your actions in the past and sometimes, an action in the past can let you do something in the future.

This is not a new concept in gaming in general, but it is a first in a Zelda dungeon.

7. Ocarina of time: Final dungeon Ganon's Castle
Probably one of the longest final areas of any Zelda game. Ganon's castle is a place that builds the tention slowly, until you've reached the top of the castle where you face off ganondorf.
Every single area in the castle represents an "element" that you've already faced in the game.
For example.. The shadow room has enemies and colors much like the shadow temple.

6. Oracle of ages: Final dungeon Black Tower
It's a black tower. A huge black tower that was built in the past, and your witnessing it being built in the future. What more can i really say?!
It's an amazing final area!!

5. Majoras mask: Final dungeon Moon
This place sells me on atmosphere.. Like. The first time playing, i couldn't believe this is what it was like inside the moond.
A green, vivid and beautiful hill with tree on top of it.. Oh, and that's not all. There's also a bunch of kids wearing the masks you've been collecting from the four bosses in the game as well. Under the tree, a kid with the majoras mask sits. Everyone of them wants to play with you. By "play", they mean, put you in a very hard room where you can get a piece of heart (Also, you need to do all of these four rooms to be able to get the final mask in the game as well)

Final areas always was something i loved in all games, and Zelda games made some of the best ones in my opinion.

4. Ocarina of time: 8th dungeon and extra dungeon Shadow temple & Bottom of the well
I put these two together cause to me, they're basically the same dungeon, even though they don't share the same keys or anything.
But one of the reasons why i love this dungeon is cause of its atmosphere! I mean.. It makes you feel so freaking cold and you can really feel the claustrophobia..
And what do you do? You keep walking downwards and things just gets crazier and crazier with invisible objects, torture devices and undead enemies.

The dungeon is so much fun to do with plenty of challenge of great visuals and music! The boss is pretty easy, but fun and it fits the mood of the dungeon perfectly.
Also, you get a pretty sweet item as well. Eye of truth in the bottom of the well, and Pegasus boots in the temple.

3. Oracle of seasons: Extra dungeon Hero's cave
The hero's cave in oracle of seasons might not be as hard as the one in oracle of ages, but it sure as heck isn't easy.
Loads of fun with great background music and hard puzzles that will make you frustrated for seeming nonsensical at times.

You need all temple items to be able to complete each room in hero's cave, and to even begin to enter the cave, you need to start the game with the password system or with a link-cable.
The reward is an amazing lv3 attack ring!! It will make your defense drop by 3, but your attack gets a boost of a whooping 3.
It's perfect if you're facing a boss or enemy you want to kill fast. Make sure to unequip it if you intend to not use the sword and if you intend take a lot of hits though.

2. Link to the past: Extra dungeon Palace of four swords
I'm a big fan of extra dungeons in Zelda games, and i think the remake of Link to the past did a fantastic job with its extra dungeon.
Not only is it tricky and kind of hard to navigate, but it's also challenging and very hard.
It has bosses, puzzles and everything a Zelda fan who's more into action oriented Zelda games likes.

The bosses are all harder remakes of previous bosses in the game, and the final boss is four Link clones. Knowing what weapon to use and items to use is essential.
The reward is pretty measly considering what you go through. You get the ability to view your quest log on the pause menu.

1. Oracle of Ages: Extra dungeon Hero's Cave
It's the ultimate challenge!
Any Zelda player who wants to show their skill in Zelda puzzles HAS to play the hero's cave in oracle of ages. It isn't until you've done so that you realize that Zelda is a very clever game series.
The dungeon is structured in a way so that every single room is a complex puzzle. Room after room after room. I think the whole ordeal is about 10 or more rooms. Which can take quite a long time cause of how hard every one of them are.
You unlock the hero's cave by simply transferring your file from oracle of seasons via password Or link-cable.

Why more Zelda games hasn't used one of these complex dungeons since Oracle of ages is way beyond me. Chances are they take pretty long to make and only really devoted players can even hope to complete the hero's cave as well. You need all the items from every normal dungeon to be able to do all the puzzles in each room.
The reward for completing this boss-less dungeon is a lv 3 defense ring. Which ups your defense by 3 and lowers your sword attack by 3. It's a good ring if you encounter a boss or obstacle where you don't use your sword. In other words, the reward is pretty damn sweet.

Life update

I haven't really written anything about myself in ages!!
But i'm feeling just fine. Waiting for an answer from one of the schools that i applied to (I might get them sometimes in may or something like that).
Right now, i'm mostly looking forward to summer though.

Now.. Summer has been quite a depressing season for me, for a long long time now.
Well.. When i was 18, i had some romantic love with someone, and it just ended up breaking my heart all the time cause i never got a call ever. I was always the one who had to call. Nor did it seem like i was too interesting to that person. Not sure if i could blame anyone for that though. Back then, i was kind of vanilla, and mostly cared about my work with C++ and what not. Hehe..

When i was 19, i was mostly reminiscing about some old times, and i hardly took a time of day to enjoy the summer.. As a matter of fact, that's the only thing i can remember from when i was 19.
Oh yea.. And i was falling in love with someone through the Net as well.. I kind of just had gotten access to the net back then. Yea, i guess i got a little happy about it.
But i'm not sure.. I have been heartbroken for so many times that i never really was able to let that person into my life 100%. We ended up breaking it up around mars next year. Then we tried a little more, a few months after that and.. Meh.. I ended up crying a lot for most of that summer (When i was 20). Ugh.. Was it really that long ago? >_>

Anyhow, when i was 21, i was just depressed the whole summer. Mostly from all the things that had happened to me, and the changes i was going through in my life.

But now i'm 22, and this summer is already feeling great!! (Even though it's spring right now)
I have high hopes. No more love, no more heartbrokenness and no more worries about other people in my life! Just the way i want it (:

Other then all that though, i've been fiddling around with HTML5, webkit and other stuff, a lot.
It's very fun, but i'm kind of wondering what i should do right now. With it! Hehe.

I might play some game though. Or something. Right, right now. Kind of cloudy outside. Can't wait till the snow has melted 100% in the forest. I've been looking forward for some forest walking.

Oh, and i'm still wondering a little about changing around on my blog a little. To make it lighter and what not.

ijustine or iHeartless?

So i saw this video with a user named the "archfiend" today (One of my subscriptions), and he decided to talk about ijustine today:

As usual, he made it with a little parody, but ultimately got to the main point and addressed the issue at hand.
This particular issue was about Ijustine and her "whoring" as most people are calling it.
But i'll let the reader decide:

The reason why i put it on my account is cause i don't want to give her anymore money then she's already getting from it..

Yea, you read that right, dear readers.. She's making money on people's missery. It's a video about how horrible malaria is and how much we need to get the message out and help them.
I agree, but i don't agree to the fact that she's making money out of it. Why on earth did she enable ads on her video?!?

Her video seemed to be about just spreading the word of malaria, and nowhere did she mention about her paying anything to help them. Just spreading the word.

I also took the time to check the website for this "social malaria envoy" as well, http://www.malariaenvoy.com/tabid/61/Default.aspx?udt_373_param_detail=109 , and from the looks of it, even that is only about spreading the word.
Which is fine. But as you can all see, it's not about directly donating.
So why does she have an ad on her video then?

Well.. Only reason i can think of is cause she's a greedy bastard who loves to exploit other people's misery and misfortune.
And don't go telling me about how she's gonna use the money for donations, cause if that was the case, she would have addressed it in the video (Just like archfiend said), and if you think she'll do it anyway, then that's fine, i guess.
But you never know how she could justify her getting a new purse or whatever, for the money from that video.. She could just say "Liek! OH MAH GAWD! IF i can get tis purse, i can be happier and i can donate moar cuz of dat!1one LIEK OH MAH GAWD!"

I'm just saying.. I can't find anything redeeming about what she did.
Oh, and i might update this post a little later depending on if i get a reply from her on youtube (Which i doubt, for a few reasons, really)

Starship amazing

This is a double review of two albums made by the ultra hip retro electro.. You know what. It's best described with just saying that it's amazing.
And you'd be right when you're saying the name of these two people who formed the group, Starship Amazing.

Ever since 2007 (Starting with "Zoom Zoom Internet"), Calvin Hansen and Derek Alexander have been mixing different genres with retro electro. Styles can range from hiphop to ambiance; from piano to trance. Etc..
Some songs has been better then others and some songs has been excellent while others have been good. But because of their diverse taste in music, it's always a true joy to just listen and to just experience every single track they've produced.

But i want to put their older tracks aside for now, cause i want to focus on their newest releases. These two albums was released on the same day and are called "An Apocalypse In Binary" and "Scoops The Robot"

It's pretty obvious from the get-go what you're gonna get with each indevidual album, but for the sake of this review (if you will), i've split it up where i'll write about each album indevidually, and at the end, i'll mention what i have to say about the double release as a whole.

Scoops is one really cute robot (As illustrated on the picture above) and he really loves his donuts, let me tell you.
Another great quality with Scoops The Robot is that he has a great sense of music.
Yes! This is a very upbeat and very catchy album with tones that will make you think about bomberman and just about any good old game that capcom ever made.
If you hadn't figured it out yet, Starship Amazing has a lot of inspiration from old videogames and just about anything that makes sounds with a chip and it's the most prominent when listening to cheery beats like "Speed city kitty"

Having a very happy and up-beat atmosphere in this album and all, it also has some comedy thrown into it.
For example, in the song "Olympic donuts", both Calvin and Derek interacts with the cute little Robot, Scoops; for some comedic effect and in the end of the song "speed city kitty" (which always made me think about "city connections", for some reason), scoops make a very fine statement that Derek has no other choice then to agree on.
If you want to hear the songs, i will list their official site where you can download and listen to their songs at the bottom of this review (If i may call it that)

Overall: It's a really nice album and actually my favorite out of all their albums. It has humor, happiness, love and other really nice tunes that just makes you smile. Even if you're not a fan of electro or game music in particular, i still think you'd like this album a lot.

This album is a lot darker and doesn't have nearly as much happiness as Scoops The Robot, but that doesn't mean it's bad or anything! Far from it.
It works in different way and it lends itself perfectly with Scoops The Robot.
In this album, the whole "We've made art" shines through. I'll tell you more about that a little later though.

No.. This album has no cute robots and no happy songs. But it does have atmosphere and ambiance to it. You could practically take a song from there and put it into an old school videogame and use as awesome background music.
If you're a big fan of songs from games like blaster master, you'll feel right at home in the binary apocalypse.
Also, this album has a lot more trance and techno feel to it. So i guess you could say that it's a lot more applicable. To play it at a disco or party, as videogame music! Oh, yea! I could see that happen. For sure.

Overall: There's really not much to say about this one. I really love it, but it's not as memorable as scoops the robot.. And i'm also more into cute and happy stuff.
But it's when mixing these two albums together that i start loving Starship Amazing a lot. Something that i'll explain in the final words.

Final words

I think it was a great idea to split them up into two different albums and give the two albums different moods to them.
Not only will you feel that it's a very "artsy" thing to do, but you'll also feel their effort. It's like you can tell that they've worked on these songs really hard. And the reason why i feel that it's very artsy is because of how much it makes me think. It makes me wonder what every single song represents. It makes me think that every song is an expression on how the artists, Derek and Calvin feels.

The two albums expresses much more then any other album that i've listened to in a long long time. Songs like "You are marvelous" (found in scoops) makes me think about motivation and about the quiet moment where you ponder about what your ultimate goal is. To grab ahold of your life..
Songs like, "Everyone sleeps alone" makes me think about the human race entirly and everywhere where that thought may take me.

But anyway. I could write about the individual songs all day and night long and i really don't think that enough great things can be said about Starship Amazing (As a matter of fact, i might have forgotten a lot of things i'd like to say)

There's one thing about youtube that kind of annoys me in all honesty.
And that is the fact that "worldwide" seems to "USA" or north America.

These are the statuses that i can chose from in the country selection on youtube:

This system is all fine and dandy, but why is USA/North America considered worldwide (All)?
I'm not 100% on how this system really works and all, but it would seem that news, related videos, site changes (Holiday), featured videos and a few other things is releted on what country you've selected. And from what i can see, on worldwide, i get american news, and most related videos are american (Some of the times, i can't even watch those videos cause they're not available in my country on racis... I mean.. Copyright grounds), and the page changes depending on american holidays.

I can't care less about al gore actually. Yes! That piece of news is about earthday, so i guess it was a bad example.

I don't care! Obama has nothing to do with me where i live! I live in Sweden, and i want to enjoy things from all around the world when i'm on the internet, and not just American things.

I'm not saying that i'm anti american, even though the country is one of the most fucked up places in the world and the image that country has in all other places on this planet is way beyond terrible. But there's a lot of awesome people in USA as well. After all, it's a big country. I follow a lot of American based video uploaders on youtube, and i like it.
But i want worldwide to actually be worldwide, and not just america.

And yes, i know about the IP and how youtube also takes that into consideration with what videos that shows up and what ads that shows on the site. So i guess that's a little better.
But worldwide is still a replacement for USA and it still doesn't make much sense that way.
Either youtube thinks USA is the world and no other place counts, or they think USA is so deprived of culture that it won't have any diverse videos to speak of. Maybe they think most people in the world are of western culture.. I really don't know. The latter one seems the most likely though.

Maybe the "USA" option just doesn't show up from where i live.

My.. Friends

So i was thinking today; about some friends i used to have. Today, i only have two people who i can actually call friends. Yea.. Call me sad if you want.
I'm of course referring to real life friends, and not the billion of online "friends" that i have.
Although i enjoy chatting with a lot of them, i still have to say that i'm not a person who takes whatever happens on the internet that seriously. Just to tell you.. (:

Anyway.
Here's a list of the "friends" in my life:

One who i used to know a little, but i soon realized that i didn't want to have anything to do with a mentally handicapped person. He had his heart in the right place, but he did a lot of stuff that made me cry actually, and i just won't stand for that. So i got rid of him as a "friend"

One who's addicted to WoW and is too full of himself to see the reality that's around him.
According to him, he's having the hardest time of any human being on this planet. He's very stuck up, and there's really nothing i can do about it. I enjoy talking with him once upon a blue moon when i actually meet him randomly, but other then that.. Na, i can't call him a friend, cause he's so detached to this world, really.

Another one who's addicted to WoW.
But there's a little bit of a different story behind that. From what i can gather (Cause i haven't talked to him in ages), he's still kind of living around the days when he was around 17 years old, and life was just all fine and dandy. Like.. Drinking cola instead of water and saying that you don't go out at all is cool.

One who i thought i knew. I used to think i knew her for 11 years, and when i needed her the most and when i expected sympathy, i didn't get any.. So that was that. I guess i should have known better then to think i would recieve any sympathy from any person i befriend.
But jokes on me for that, and now i just sound like i'm pittying myself or whatever. But i'm really not. If that is how it goes sometimes, then that's that. Life has to go on.

One who i grew apart from. We had a really great time when we were younger though. Playing perfect dark and what not.
But me being a significant age difference lead to an unavoidable parting.

One who i still consider today as a friend.. Even though the great distance of where we live pretty much makes us Interwebz buddies.

Same with another friend whom i share some love for indie games and other weird stuff with. But he lives quite a far bit away from here as well.

Also, one person who i liked a little i guess. But he has some personal disorders i THINK. But mostly, it's cause we grew apart from eachother and we really didn't have many similar interests. It's always nice meeting up with him though.

Then there's one person i can say that i didn't really bother that much with. He was kind of busy with a family he got so early in his life and.. Damn. Yea, i think he was just too busy.

Then there's someone i befriended pretty recently. He was from the old course i used to go to. But we mostly just chat on internet cause of the distance we live from eachother. I don't know him that well either.

Other then this.. I can't really say much more. Sure, there were always those "Friends" in the past who always left me behind cause i happened to belong to a different gender and cause i happened to be such a fucking uncontrollable person. Yes, i guess i do have a tenancy to be a bit jealous.
But i think one of the main reason why they didn't really want me in their "group" was cause of my gender. But that's just humanity.

So why don't i have many friends?
Well.. partly cause of things i've been through when i was younger, partly cause of my awkward personalty and partly cause i'm too fucking scared and socially inept to get friends.
But really. I don't really want friends. I don't want people that i rely on that much. Cause for me.. It's always been that i end up being disappointed or whatever. It's probably just me who's demanding too much from people. Who the fuck knows.

And.. Well... The truth is the truth. All you can do is live with it.

Today when i woke up and turned on my laptop to watch some videos, i noticed that AmazingAtheist had made a new video.
This video was about some live show that he is going to be making in a few days

I have a problem with it though. Actually. Quite a few problems.
Let's watch it shall we.
Oh, and before watching, keep in mind that i uploaded this video on an external site that is not youtube. Cause i have a hunch that he'll be deleting this video within a few days.

First thing i'm wondering is why he even bothers to say that he's been having some "health problems".
If he really wanted his viewers to know about it, then why does he say that we don't need to worry about it? I have a feeling that he just wants the viewers sympathy or something. It wouldn't be the first time he wanted that, and this isn't the first time that he's begged for money either. But more on that in a few.

Ok.. So now he's going to host a "show" on a site called "payperview". This means that it will cost money for anyone who'd want to see this show.
This part of the video, he'll explain a few things why he's making a pay to view show, and he also brings up the cost that he's gonna have.
He'll charge anyone who's gonna see it, about 5$ when it's the cheapest, but he promises to raise that cost for the people who's too slow.
That alone isn't very respectable. I know that it's common for any show to do this in order to attract viewers. But he doesn't mention the higher price in this video and this is also the first time he's ever done something like this. Which means that most people doesn't even know what to expect in the first place. I was reading comments on this video, and for those comments i saw that wasn't "sellout sellout sellout", a lot of people seems to wonder what was going to be on this show.
Also, if the viewers are to expect similar content to the blogTV shows he's been doing in the past, then i can safely say that not many people is going to watch it. Mostly due to the fact that it's mostly rambling!

But that's the "pay part" of his announcements. Let's talk a little about the justifications that he's made for himself.
Number one is so he doesn't have to "waste valuable showtime, begging for donations". I saw a comment about this statement in the comment section that said that: "most of the time that he's making BlogTV shows, it usually is cause he needs money."
Which means that he could might as well just go on blogTV and beg for money. That would be a lot more effective.
Number two!! To "largely keep trolls out of the chatrooms"?
No, i don't think that's a good reason to have it payed. Why doesn't he just say that he needs the money cause the job he has doesn't give him enough.
These "justifications" are silly and it will only fool the fanniest of the fans.
Oh, and "BlogTV is full of trolls"!! Yea! Of course. The people on blogTV has never been on your youtube channel before and never seen your videos before. They're just usual BlogTV trolls who's only on BlogTV to troll on BlogTV, and they've never ever seen your youtube channel before! Gah!! Make sense, TJ!!!

Also, this first announcement in the video, he also has an annotation about 15 seconds into the video where it says:

"A lot of people in the comments seem to be freaking out about this. To these people, i say, shut up. If you don't want to see the show, don't pay and don't come. My having a show for paying viewers has no impact on your life whatsoever. Go cry somewhere else." (Yes! He says "My having a show...." and not "Me having a show...")

I personally couldn't see much "freaking out", but i have a vague feeling that with "freaking out", he means people who has their own opinion and thinks that he's so freaking arrogant!

Then there's his book, in the 2nd announcement! Yea.. When did an independent book become a hybrid of a pedantic and pretentious; movie and book?

You know.. What i'm tired of this. He seems to think VERY highly of himself. As if he's some kind of celebrity.
All i can say is that he give no respect to his viewers, he clearly doesn't care what anyone says about this and he's just being so fucking arrogant and stupid!!
I'll stop watching him if his next video isn't that good. Cause i'm tired of his arrogance and pretentiousness.

Morbid thoughts

Lately, i've been having some really morbid and kind of depressing thoughts and dreams.
Firstly, there's the thoughts about having my brain taken out and squashed.. In very cruel ways. Donno why.
Then, there's the dreams that i've had two times now. Where someone in my family dies. This particular dream was about my dad, when he died.. I won't go into detail though.
Also, in that same dream, i was dreaming about Sandra coming here as well.. Just sitting in the kitchen here, talking to everyone as if it was all ok or whatever.
Oh, and if i haven't told you about Sandra already; she's a person who i had the displeasure of knowing for about 11 years. Let's just say that she got some problems. I won't say anymore then that.

Today was a rainy day as well.. I had to go out in the rain, and get all wet. It was kind of annoying. Luckily, i still had a good one hour left on the podcast that i was listening to the other day. So that kept me company, kind of.

Everyone was so down today, for some reason. Dad was angry cause.. I was lazy, i guess. I think he has some sort of pet peeve against cartons and boxes. Cause he told me to trow away some box that i had lying on the other unused bed in my room. I personally didn't care that much that that box was there. I mean, i still have my old computer screen on that very same bed. But for whatever reason, that's not counted as garbage.. But whatever.

I sort of feel that i've outstayed my welcome here. I mean, i do what people tell me to do, and i'm rarely angry or sad or whatever. I'm usually trying to keep a good spirit, despite my situation. (22 years old, living at home).
I feel that i should take some initiative on applying for jobs and really trying to get out of this place.. And get my own place.
But i can't really say that my problem is that i'm lazy. I'd say it's more about the fact that i'm too coward.
Yea.. I'm too much of a coward to take a chance in life.

I just thought of a great idea. Every morning, i'm gonna tell myself that it's a new day of possibilities. Yea, and really try to motivate myself.

Before stopping this blog entry, i just wanted to take a moment and say a few things i've learned in my life so far.. And that is: Life is short. It's very short. Learning new things and taking new chances isn't always that easy. After all, most people spend about 18 years studying and learning without doing any actual work. Imagine doing that again?
Also.. You're responsible of your own choices. What you do and what you say. It's all your own doing and responsibility.

Yea.. Whatever. I'm feeling a bit tired right now.

So here we are.. First of april, and it's raining like crazy right now. I like that it does cause it will take a lot of snow with it. But i had to go out when it was raining a lot.. So yea..

Anyway. I was going on youtube and noticed that they had changed the logo to some ascii art thing (Oh, and now google has done the same.. Only this time, they actually used ascii characters instead of making an image that is made in this way)
Also.. Then i watched a video, and it turns out that they have a mode called the TEXTp .. Which they claim will save their bandwidth..

I have to ask though. If this is supposed to save bandwidth, then how come the video doesn't have to reload when i switch to it?
Something tells me that it's just a filter though! I'm not 100% sure, but it sure seems like it.
After all, it's april FOOLS day. And i'm sure a lot of people believes them.

Anyhow!! I'm not sure about this little tradition of ours actually. Fooling eachother and what not.. But oh wells.

First of all; i apologizes for my latest outburst on this blog.
I'm sure a lot of you has given up reading this blog by now anyway. Since i didn't really say that i would stop making daily updates so sudden.
But the reality of the situation is that i haven't given up on the blog. It's just that i make updates whenever i want.

Also, i would like to tell my sister that i'm a bit amazed that she's reading this blog. I don't know.. I don't think i've ever sent her a link to it. She knows about my website, i'm sure. But still. That's quite the initiative just to read whatever nonsense i have to say.

So with that said, i would just like to point out that i really don't want to argue with you.
It seems pretty pointless to argue about something that started from an "un-serious" comment to begin with.
I'm not going to say much more then this actually.
A lot of the things i write are not serious, and i honestly can't believe that i have to use "!11oneoneeoneeleven" and bad grammar just to make it clear for people that i'm not serious.

You should understand that people actually wants places to "vent". Heck, before the internet, i was too scared to even say what i thought about anything. And i've had it a little tough socially, in my life.

Almost done with Tim's LP of mother 3 as well!! He's on the final boss now. Which marks, almost the end of all his LPs for me. Almost watched all of them.

I'm not feeling very sick at all right now (:
Just very very little. But for the most part, i feel awesome!!

So yea.. Today was the last day of the course. Awesome!!
I don't know what it was either.. But some girl there kind of seemed into me.. Not sure what i should do. Oh wells. I had stuff to do though. Not gonna go much more into that, since i'm very bad at interpreting the signals of other human beings.

It was very well made. Put some basic information together (Or at least. What should be basic).
Mostly for me though, it made me think about how short science has been around.. I mean, in the way that it is right now.
Religion has been around for 1000s of years, while science has hardly been around for 100.
All i can really say is that i hope that religious extremists won't try to fuck things up.. But whatever. I probably won't even live if such a time will come, anyway.
Either we will destroy ourselves cause we can't handle the technology that we've developed. Or christian/Muslim extremists (As if there's any fucking difference) will send us all back to the stone age. Or... Maybe. Just maybe. We will develop further, and one day, reach for the stars.

Yea, i'm sick now. I don't feel very well :/
Haven't been doing that much today, aside from just being lazy and what not. Not really feeling like writing that much either.. xD

Kind of want to keep watching nintendocaprisun's mother 3 LP. He just got to a pretty interesting part of the game.. The adventure starts, so to speak.. :3

But anyway. I watched a little of a documentary that my sister was watching, a few minutes ago.
It was really interesting and just fascinating to see. The documentary was called Planet earth, and was made/funded by BBC.

Also, my little brother got a new PC today. It was hecka fast, he was really happy about it xD
My other bigger little brother and me was fixing it for him (I'm 22, my little brother is 13 and my bigger little brother is 18). So that was kind of fun. Kind of amazed that nothing went wrong.. You know how computers are.. Like men. Unreliable and constantly breaking. xD

Been coughing a little today, and my throat has been hurting a little.. But i'm happy.
So.. Today.. What have i really been doing.
Went out to listen to IW (invisible walls).. Heck, it's been a pretty forgettable sunday. i hardly knew it was sunday, actually.

I have a list of schools and stuff that i haven't looked at yet (Yay me).
Checked out some awesome program for ipod that let's me do anything on my PC from anywhere. Um.. Let's see.. What more.

Hello and welcome to the first installment of my generic "vs" series.
First, i would like to say that i own both devices myself, and whatever flaws either device has, i'm very happy with both of them.
Then i would also like to say that i won't really compare them directly with their hardware. I'll just say if it's better or not in whatever department. Usually with obvious reasons. Like the ipod obviously having a faster graphics processing unit.

Anyway..
Let's get down to business!!

The reason why i'm making some kind of competition between the K530i and ipod touch is cause i wanted to give a clear view on how much the ipod is actually lacking, for people who might be curious.

So without further ado, here it is! My versus list of two devices, generations apart.

Sony Ericsson K530i

Some specs:

GPU/CPU: N/A (Couldn't find any information. Not as fast as the ipod, that's for sure)

Released: 2007

Camera: High quality 2 mega pixel

UI (User interface)

Looks, speed, usability.. I'm gonna include usablitiy here, cause i personally think that an interface, no matter what kind of interface, should be easy to use

Both the ipod and the K530i are unlocked easily with basically two different "gestures".
The ipod, as we all know, is unlocked with pressing one of the two buttons on the device to make the screen go away from sleep-mode, and then you gently slide your fingers or thumb at the "unlock slider", and the k530i is unlocked at a similar fashion. Press the star and then the upper right button.

So basically, they're just as easy to unlock.

But.. That's where most of the similarities ends. (If you could call that a similarity)
cause after that, it's differences up the butt.

The k530i uses an actual system manager with multitasking and themes. While the ipod touch uses a more simple approach with minimum skinning abilities and no multitasking (At the time of writing).
Instead of multitasking, the ipod touch relies on pop-notifications. Which is a nice idea if you want to save batteries and still have programs being able to tell you this and that.

Let's talk a little more about the pop-notifications vs multitasking, shall we.
Like i mentioned just now, pop-notifications saves batteries while still granting some "out of application" flexibility. But that basically only amounts to the ipod being able to tell you if someone on facebook wrote something on your wall. Pop-notifications may also update "Badges" on the application icons. Which means that it will be able to look up information that the program uses. Like the e-mail app being able to tell you when a new mail has arrived to you.
Update intervals of two hours or so (To save batteries, obviously).

Multitasking, however, is able to run a program while you're running another program on the device.
Obviously, the more programs you have running, the more batteries it's going to drain. Which is something the user could simply affect to begin with.
So the argument of saving batteries is flawed.
Sure, the ipod can run music and a few other built-in apps on the background as if it was multitasking. But the fact of the matter is that the ipod can not run more then one standard-application in the background at a time.

k530i running 4 apps at the same time.
As far as i know, crash and lag is the limit of how many programs you can have running at the same time.

Ok.. Ok.. It's not like any small device needs to be able to have lots of programs running at the same time, but at least 5 to 10 at the same time.
Wouldn't you like to be able to IM while you're listening to internet radio on the ipod touch?

Then there's also people who care about having beautiful themes that represents their personality and individualism. Is there anything like that on the ipod touch? No, there's not.
Aside for a background on the lock screen and some small preferences, there's really not much customization with the ipod touch.
On the k530i, however, you can change the theme quite drastically. And it's even easy to just make a theme yourself, on your computer. And you can find themes on the internet!

But when all is said and done though, both of the devices handles their graphcis smoothly and they look fantastic.
The obvious advantage of the ipod is the multitouch and bigger screen (And screen res).
But on the other side, the k530i has themes, multitasking and a system manager.

I was going to write about the battery here, but the two devices are too different to be really talking about how long the battery-life is.
I mean.. Faster CPU and GPU requires more battery power, and since there's such high speed hardware, it will also have a much better battery handling. Speed it up when the situation demands it, and slow it down when ideal.
In short, it's obvious that the ipod has a better battery but it drains them faster if you're in a demanding process..

Also, while i'm on the topic of excluding. The mic will not be talked about. Cause if i really wanted to compare the mics and all, i would have used an iphone and i would also have gone through with how well you can talk in it and what not.. And WITH that, it would just have ended up looking like a generic review and comparison of the devices.

Storage and input

The ipod has much storage space. 8 to 64gb is not bad. But it has no expansion port. Something that a lot of people miss.
The k530i only has 16mb internal storage with a 2gb maximum micro sd card slot. Obviously.. This isn't good either way if you want a lot of videos and songs. But then again, the phone is pretty old by now.
The point i wanted to make with the sd slot is that these days, we have cards that can hold more then 256gb of data, so i think that the ipod could have benifited a lot from having that option in there.
Besides, being able to just remove it and insert it directly into your PC is not a bad thing. That's how i like to do it sometimes.

Then... There's a very huge flaw with the ipod when it comes to storage. For whatever reason, it's itunes only.
You need itunes to transfer even the smallest of files. And if you're like me, you're not going to like itunes all that much! Sure, it's pretty easy to use and straightforward, but it's so sloooooooooooooooooooow!!
Also, there's the complications with the syncs, backups, questions and what not. I guess it's easier for a normal user to let itunes just auto sync all content from your PC. But i have two pcs, and i don't want all the songs from my PC to my ipod. I want to select the songs i want on it.

With the k530i, however, it's as easy as opening explorer as you would with any USB storage device. Just transfer the files over to either the internal memory or the phonecard. (Both show up when you plug it in)

Which probably leads me to something both devices are just as bad at.
The input. (This is turning into a rant, rather! Haha)
But really.. The input of the devices.
Are both pretty bad. I don't get the point of using your own custom made input when you can just use mini usb.

But to end the storage and input category, the ipod touch actually has something that's a lot better.
And that's the headphones jack. You need an adapter on the k530i.

Additional software
The ipod has neither flash or java runtime! Also, the only place to get any kinds of applications for it has an insane level of unreasonable requirments for having the applications approved there..
The k530 HAS java runtime. Which means you can play a bunch of good games for free. It doesn't have flash though.

And lastly, a small thing.
The k530i can show gif animations right in the OS, the ipod needs to open gif animations in the browser. But because of that, you can't save the gif animations to the device. You need to have them saved on the web to show them there. Also, it doesn't even show them in a proper speed. As if gif animations is a demanding process for an ipod touch.

Well.. I'm sorry if this turned out pretty brief! I guess i kind of came off a little. Had a huge break in the middle, actually.
But i think i've covered most of the flaws that the ipod touch has compared to the k530i now.
And remember, there's about 3 or more years in between these two devices. So the fact that a brand new device like the ipod touch is lacking in so many different ways is pretty astounding.
A lot of people say that it's compensating that apple made to make the device run smoother, be easier for normal users or whatever. Maybe that's true. But it still doesn't justify some of the things that it's lacking.

I personally think that apple is just too careful. Most likely cause the devices that would come to be the competition are pretty new on the market. HTC, Microsoft, Motorola, black berry and many more, are all catching up now.

So what has apple done to measure this?

So yea.. As i thought. I woke up feeling a bit weird in my throat. I feel like i'm coming down to something right now actually. My head aches a little.. :/

It was quite a boring day, i guess. My mom's sister's dog was here for the most part. Cause my mom's sister had to do something for the whole day.
Was kind of funny to have her dog here.
Her dog is called Zipper! xD

Other then that.. Not much. Played some megaman 3, watched some videos, was chillaxing.
Got a mail from one of the course leaders giving me some links to some schools! Gonna check them out tomorrow.

Update

Today.. I overslept.
Yesh.. Two times a week, i have a course, and for the first time, i overslept.
I don't know.. I guess my body was just telling me to keep on sleeping. Cause i can't really remember much. If the alarm even went off or not xD

But other then that. It was a really cool day, i guess. Been mostly chilling around on the internet and stuff.
A friend of my sister came here today, as well. So she stayed here for a while. Was kind of nice, i guess. Not that i really talked to her, cause i was doing else things.

Um.. Then i went out for a while. Took the bike to ride around on. It was really nice. Didn't have to wear a cap or anything. Weather is kind of warm actually. Probably around -1C in the sun or so.

Then.. On the internet, i met one of the most obvious trolls i've ever seen. I was just making an analogy of a video on what similar situation i've been through, and i mentioned a little story about programming.
But that was taken out of context, and the trolls was all over it xD
I have no clue. It's something with trolls and saying that you know programming. cause they were trying to tell me that programming basically doesn't require any skill, what so ever.
Of course, all of those who commented were probably kids. So it's not like they know, and it's not like i take them seriously.
I just found it a little fascinating that the fact that they were just trolling was so obvious.
Like i said, one of the most obvious trolls i've seen on the internet. :]

Um.. Let me see.. Other then all that.
I've been playing Megaman 1 and 2. Then i got too tired to play when i was playing the 3rd one. Gonna do that tomorrow though, i think. (:

The first one pretty damn hard!! Most of the time cause of fair challenge (Which is very well made, which i might add). But a few times, it was actually some flickering that made me die.. xD

Oh, and the second game is pretty broken all thanks to the metal blade. It makes the game so incredibly easy, it's not even funny.. Wait.. Yes it is! It's an awesome game!!

What can i say. I love those games.

They really seemed to like it, a lot. Which should come as no surprise. The game looks fantastic, if you ask me.

Today was another blandtastic day of my, so far, pointless life.
Woke up, got some breakfast, went to store, got back home..

Rant on SVGF

Then i went out again, and here is probably where some different things starts.
First of, there's this videogame podcast that i've been listening to for quite some time now. They're called "SVGF" (Smart videogame fan).. Now.. This podcast is good enough for me to walk around outside and listen to it.
But what happened in the episode that i listened to today was that they were doing the most childish thing ever! I was actually listening to a continuation of the last time that i listened to it, so it was only 30 minutes left when i started listening to that episode.

But anyway. A few minutes in from that point, they started talking about how they were changing things on wikipedia and for about 10 minutes from that part, they were basically only laughing and talking about how funny it is and what they were going to change..
Needless to say, i was fast forwarding that whole part.. But they kept going back to that subject of changing things on wikipedia and how funny it is, and GAHH!!!
Have mercy!
Come on.. I mean.. That's not a podcast. And i mean, this is not really the first time they've strayed on a topic just cause it was more fun FOR THEM! They did the same thing when they strayed on some videogame magazine, and started talking about that for more then 20 minutes in a row.. Sure, it was kind of interesting the first few minutes. But to basically repeat things that are stated over and over and over again is not podcasting.
That's the kind of thing that belongs in a conversation, damn it!

I mean.. They've basically missed the whole point of what a podcast is. I mean, when they do it like a podcast, it's really good. The information is good, and the whole thing simply plays out very well.. But far too often, they start mentioning things that are irrelevant, or they stray from the topic..
Oh, but some people might say: "Well, that's how they do podcasting!!".
No, i'm sorry. But that's not podcasting. At least not professionally made, and enjoyable podcasting.

You need to have some guidelines written on a paper, that you can follow, and then give yourself a time-limit for how long you're gonna talk about every point on that list.
Also, a podcast should be about 35 minutes to 1 hour long, and you should keep it informative, unique, funny and simply keep yourself in that TIME!!
I mean, it's fine to talk a little irrelevant stuff that might come up, as a social thing that comes natural to humans. But you should know when a subject has gone way out of hand, and when you're straying from the original topic, and point.

Sure, they SAY that a lot, if they're straying from the topic or if they're prolonging the disgusted topic. But saying and doing are two different things.

Overall.. All i can say for now is that.. They had better get their act together for next time, or mention something interesting. Or i'm quitting that podcast. Plain and simple.
That childish act with wikipedia and how stupid it really was.. It just made me a little amazed on how they can call themselves a videogame podcast.
I'm going to let them know what i think about them later. Maybe sooner then i think..

Desk ranting

Then when i got home from that walk, i found my sister and mom trying to move out a desk that i have in my room.. Cause they wanted me to take a much much much more uglier desk. Claiming that the ugly desk was bigger, and my sister has such a small room, she really needs a smaller desk. (By the way. It's a desk for a computer).
Even though the size difference was practically none, in terms of how practical you can place them.

Let's just say that, for a computer desk, both of those desks are considered small, and thus, will only fit in areas of a room that is considered small.
Which she did, later today, with that ugly desk.. So what the hell was that all about anyway.

Well.. I honestly felt that they didn't really respect anything with what i had said earlier either..
But i guess i'm just craving respect from everyone all the time, so it's not like i'm gonna use that as an argument.. I guess.
But i will say this; I had told them earlier that i didn't want that other metal ugly desk in favor of my old wooden desk.
But i guess what i want isn't really that important to them.

"Oh, but it's such a small thing!! Stop complaining about it"..
Well, i'm not complaining about it. I told them to take the desk if they really really needed it. But then, of course, they just wanted to blame me for being so selfish or whatever.

Rant on kindness

I do most things to help people.
Even those i hardly know. But all i've ever gotten from that has been hate.
It's a thing i've been pondering about for a while now, and i've realized that the girl i helped with getting photoshop CS3 is annoyed with me, and probably finds me pretty despicable now.
I mean.. She was acting all kind and nice all the time until i got done with the last part of that thing with photoshop (Only had the crack left earlier. Took some time to get that together). She would want to talk to me and everything. But now, she doesn't really want to do that anymore, it would seem.

She told me to get up earlier to get to the course (That's where i "know" her from) on fridays instead of complaining about the road being slippery.
And i wasn't even complaining about that the reason why i was late was cause of the road being slippery. I was just pointing it out, and i told her that i was just pointing it out, and she just got quiet and got a little angry with me, it seems..

Ugh.. The transparency of some.. I honestly don't know why i fucking help people anymore.
It's not like i ever feel any better for it. It's not like i ever manage to make any friends by being friendly.
Fuck this..

A little rant on internet and others

So.. That's quite a lot.
On top of that, i also watched some videos by TJ. Some of his earlier ones.

It was really nice to just hear him have the same problems as me.
To think that people are stupid and not making any fucking sense what so fucking ever! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!
GAH! It's so fucking nice to fucking unwind with curse-words..

But yea.. I feel him with that.
TJ was a lot better before. But i guess that a lot of the ranting and stuff gets old for anyone if they do it a lot for years. It's a part of getting older, i guess.

But yea.. To wrap up this whole ranting in this blog, i guess i could might as well mention the last thing that happened on the internet.
I went on MSN to chat with my sister, cause apparently, she needed MY help on fixing a WEBSITE or whatever.
But she said that she was.. Well.. Basically busy or whatever. To think about that. OR whatever!!

So yea.. Then someone on MSN messaged me. Someone that i added earlier when i logged on for a few seconds.
She told me a bunch of butt-licking things: "I'm a fan of your work. bla bla bla".. And then.. There it came!!
"Can you do me a favor", and i thought to myself.. "Ah.. She doesn't really like what i've done at all. She just wants me to.."

Well, it turned out that she was actually a fan of a friend of mine. Raine.

But yea.. Fuck her, i'll probably delete her next time i logg onto MSN just cause i fucking hate it when people wants to talk through me to someone else.
I've had enough of that in my life! It's happened too many fucking times! It makes me fucking sick!
To think that scenario of when someone has wanted to talk to me has happened MORE then the scenario of someone wanting to talk to me cause they wanted to get to know me or something.
I'm of course talking about real life here. It makes me depressed to even think about it.
I can't even put it to words how many times i've been through a lot of similar stuff.

But whatever, right?
After all, i'm more then certain that i'm just the one who's overreacting. But even so.. I can't really help it.. It affects me a lot.. And that i've excluded the few friends i had from my life, and not even have many friends to begin with..... Well.. That isn't really making it easier for me.
To think that: "I'm just overreacting". That's how i think on most things these days. It's the only way i can really get through.
I might not be alone with that either. Who knows. That might actually be common among people.

I'm feeling a little less tired today actually. Even though i am writing this around 12 or so. So that is a good excuse to say that you're tired.

Well.. What did i do today?
Nothing productive what-so-ever. I've mailed a bunch of people on the internet, saying a bunch of random crap.. Nothing negative though, so don't worry xD
I walked around earlier without anything on my head. It was really nice to be able to do that. -5C winds feel pretty warm now actually! Haha.

But yea.. I don't feel too much like writing. I'll be honest.
Not that much happened anyway. Watched some regular wed shows on the web, and just had a pretty enjoying day.

All i can really say is that this is one of the main reasons why i even follow his work. It's exceptionally well made. He clearly has much love for the arts of movies.

Ugh.. I've been feeling SOO tired lately :/
Right now, i'm writing with only one eye opened.

Anyway.. I've mostly been lazy today.. Walking outside a little, listening to latest noobtoob. Just having fun.
But yea.. Mostly just watching nintendocaprisun's LP of earthbound. I'm on part 40 right now:

But........ Ugh. So freaking mediocre and tiresome day. I guess i'm just waiting for spring. Kind of tired of seeing snow everywhere now.
I should probably search for jobs tomorrow.. And schools. Almost done with that course i've been going to for about 6 months now. Kind of happy about that.
I've realized that i've grown a lot since i left that school i used to go to back in the days.. In kramfors. But that's another story. I think i told a little from that earlier. But oh wells.

My tired ranting

I've had a few thoughts on what the US government has said and some other bullshit stuff today.. But nothing that really bothered me that much.
USA will always be a country i'll have little respect for.. I mean.. Heck! I think Sweden has problems it needs to fix before i can really think about helping out in USA.
Like, for example. I want to make the funding of the monarchy optional. Instead of making people pay insane amounts to those fools. I bet it would boil down to less then 10% of the people paying..

But i think the main problem with why Sweden is so messed up at some many places is cause of the people.. MOst of them just DOESN'T CARE! AT ALL!!
GAH!! It's so annoying.. If only everyone could care at least a little.

Ugh.. That's my little tired rant on Sweden now i guess.. xD
Oh, and by the way. Someone in the US-government had been talking about what he wanted to make out of the internet, totally ignoring the fact that internet doesn't mean USA.
But whatever! One wanting to give Obama full control to shut down internet at will. One wanting to make the internet into what TV is.. Where you have to buy channels (Sites).. And one wanting to give the US-government and the US-army full control of the internet, so that they can see what EVERYONE in the world does. Stupid fucking idiots who are so fucking arrogant and forgetting that internet is NOT American property. I'm sorry. But USA is NOT the greatest country on earth, and it's not the lone leader of the world either.

Heck, USA doesn't even have that great of freedom laws and all that.
All i can say is that the arrogance of some of the leaders there.. You just feel how they don't give a crap of anyone outside of USA.. Stupid idiots!!
I think more people should care about what others think outside of their country. And learn about as many cultures they can. It's a very good thing to have with you.. But whatever. Most Americans doesn't even know what Europe really is. So it's not like any greater knowledge of the world is to be expected.

But this is just basic ranting on an easy target by my part though. Which is the only thing i can do now that i'm tired, and a little cranky at that resent arrogance.
Oh well. Every country has their flaws, but USA has some of the most in the world. Sooner or later, even in my lifetime, they're gonna have to pass the torch and start realizing that there's other people in the world (I'm not judging everyone in USA. There's lots of awesome Americans out there).

A little disappointed in myself. Overall, i'm kind of glad though.

Update

Well. It's official, i'm fat..
That's how it goes when you eat a bunch of snacks all the time.. :/
But what should i say? "This is the final day that i'm eating snacks!!"?
No, not really. I'm just gonna have to try harder.. I really have been trying to train and all that.
But the weather really IS too cold! Like, you wouldn't imagine how cold it is outside.
-20C when it's WARM!! It was -30C this morning.

Oh, that reminds me. I woke up around 8am today. I felt pretty good about it though. So i can't really complain..
But i've been dreaming a little.. About early, early summer mornings. When the sun isn't up yet, and it's perfect to go out for a jogg or a walk.
I'm definetely gonna have to put up a schedule for my summer training. I have to start as soon as the weather gets a little milder, and the risk for extreme cold is none. About end of march, maybe. I'll have to do it though. No matter how much i might not like it.

What more happened today?
Well.. Nothing much really. I tried to look for schools, but i did very little success on that front :/
I have to find tomorrow though. I have a clue on where i might find. AF homepage.

But.. Yea.. I want to keep this blog kind of short today, so i'll just throw in a few random stuff in it now :3

NASA

It's kind of sad that Nasa is constantly bringing up the budget question..
You see.. Obama decided to cut back on Nasa funding in favor of more military budget (Yea.. Well earned peace prize).
But even with that, Nasa is still treating obama as if nothing happened and they're constantly talking about what awesome things they can achieve with the budget they have now..

But!!!
The few things i find sad are just small complaints really.
After all, nasa is a government funded organization, and the government may do whatever they want with their funding to the space program.
Also, i'm glad that Nasa isn't complaining, cause it would be pretty rude, even though it's stupid that they've been cut back.
And one last thing. Even they they're getting.. I think it was 8,000,000,000 less then before, they're still making good progress with what they have. And i still love Nasa, a lot! (:

On a more funny train of thought though; If the world ends and it turns out that we were only a few months before perfecting deep interstellar space travel, Obama will be the one to blame! Shame on your mr.president. But i'm joking, really.

Update

Such a wonderful day today.
Where do i begin?
Well, i was feeling a bit weird this morning, and it kept on like that for a little while. But it was nothing special, i think.

But anyway. I went on a walk during the day (around 1pmish) and listened to the newest noobtoob episode:

It was pretty good actually. Went by very fast though. They're so enjoyable to listen to, i don't know what to say! Haha.

But yea.. While listening, i was thinking about Singleplayer maplestory. And i came up with a few neat ideas actually.
One was a nice mechanic of having weapons and physics.. I'll tell more about that when the time comes though. Reason why i don't really want to say much about it now is cause i don't want to give any false information on it. After all, i could change it around a little..
I'll just show what i have to show, i guess.. hehe.. but enough about that.

So yea.. I came home, and did some chilling around.. Not really doing too much. Just watching some videos, reading some news. (:
So after around 3 or 4 hours, i decided to go for another pretty long walk (The last one was 1 hour long).
Only this time, i decided to listen to the rest of the boogie video, about his life and all that.
I really, really loved hearing about what he had to say.. I feel kind of sorry for him though. About all the shit he's been through.
But it made me think alot. About how it is to get older.. How easy it is to fall into bad habbit, how hard it is to maintain a social status, and be as normal as possible..
It's something you need to be grown up to understand.

So yea.. After that walk, listening to the rest of his speech, i came home (Duh), and to my surprise, i was actually following the little thing that i wrote on twitter before i went for a walk.
I wrote that i would take a walk, come home, eat, program what i had to do there, and THEN watch the LPs that i wanted to see.. Hehe..

It felt very very good!! Sitting there with the sealing lamp turned on (I usually don't have that turned on) and do some PROGRAMMING in C++ for once!!
I noticed that i was very rusty xD
But it was fun anyway. Sort of rediscovering all that awesomeness. Almost a one year break from actual programming..
But yea.. Even more surprisingly for myself, i managed to do what i was set out to do.. More on that in my devdiary though.

I'm really happy about what i've manged to do today.. I feel that i'm starting to break a bad habit.
Now, if only i could say the same about my snacks and all that.. Ugh..
I will buy apples next time i feel like eating some candy or whatever. I give you my word, blog!

Some internet drama

There's been a lot of jealousy around the people TJ like now. And it's kind of starting to get on my nerves.
I think i said it earlier in my rant on TJ when i wrote about how he's wrong about the things about gaming culture that he pointed out. I wrote that he's very juvenile.
I mean.. Cause he has more subscribers?
Then there's this video:

Hold thunderf00t on a pedestal?
I've never seen thunderf00t complaining with mostly screaming, never seen him use terms like "Powned" and what not. Never seen him complain that someone else has more "subz den himz" and the list just goes on and on.
Do i respect thunderf00t more just cause of this? Yes. Yes i do. And so does most other people.
Get a grip, and stop thinking about that it's "all about the subz, ya'll"

But really.. I enjoy TJs videos when he's being all wacky and stuff.
If you want to see it from my perspective, try looking at it like this: TJ is a clown. He's very fun to watch, talented in what he's interested in and he's simply entertaining.. But at the end of the day, he's still a clown, and for most us, that means you'll have less credibility and it means you'll be taken less seriously.

TJ can have whatever thoughts about Ray that he wants, i really don't care that much about that. But i do care about the fact that he seems to be obsessed with subscribers. As if that determines your value or something.
Then there's ManixThePirate. Which i liked for a while, it was nice (All be it, a bit disturbing) to hear a little of his life, childhood and people he knows.
But i came to question all of it when he made some "An hero" video where he said he was going to kill himself and what not.. But surprise surprise.. It was a joke. Haha.. Really funny. Not only does it break what most sites has as terms of use, but it's also in very bad taste.
I ended up unsubscribing to him just for that. And now.. I honestly can't take his word for anything he says. And i don't care either. To me, he's just a liar. Even though all of that act was just for the fun of it and that most of his subscribers were aware of that. I find that in poor taste. But apparently, most don't. It's just not something for me, sorry..

And one last thing.. What do they think the people who subscribes to them are? The way they talk about everyone.. I tend to leave comments on TJ's facebook and tell him a thing or two. But only when he's just being silly or childish.
But whatever.. Really..
It's just the internet, TJ and mannix won't give a care in the world of what any of their subscribers says. For various reasons (Thunderf00t is probably too busy to interact with subscribers that much as well)
So non of it really matters, i guess.

Just remember though. You can't take an act as serious as a non-act.
And in that regard, let me close this subject by saying that both Mannix and TJ are far better actors then thunderf00t is. Both on good, and bad.

In later development that i've noticed though..
TJ seems to be getting into some trouble with people on the internet now as well. He's started to complain about fanboys and other stuff.. In other words, the trolls has gotten to him.

I personally think TJ should probably start thinking about.. Maybe.. Not using internet as much.
It's starting to get a little rediculous with his increasingly silly and childish rants actually.
But oh wells. I'll just see how all of it will affect his videos. Nothing more i can do, really. I don't know the man myself.

Today has been a pretty typical sunday.
Boring at first, and kind of awesome the second part.

Let's see.. I wrote this during the day actually:

"That's it.. I'm officually bored!! Yays..
I have no clue what to do rigtht now. I might change around a little on my blog. Just add a few things the sidebar there.
Then i feel like going outside as well. Listening to a podcast. But the one i have that i was listening to earlier only has 20 minutes left on it.. Which is kind of short :/
I might download a "Topdown perspective" podcast though. To see if i can get into that one. It's a podcast with ProtonJon and they talk about.. Well.. Non-sense and games. I thought the non-sense part was a bit too much in the first episode that i listened to (Which was the first one as well). But i should give them some more chances. After all, it's their first podcast episodes.

Just lying in mah bed right now.. Not really knowing what to do.. Um..
Listening to some old music. Checking my blog and thinking about a few stuff i should probably do. I want to take a walk outside soon though. The weather seem kind of nice, despite all the snow and the heavy weather.

You know. If and when i start making my own LPs, i might just continue on that platformer thing i made earlier and play that one when a demo is done for it xD
The first thing i'm gonna make for that game when i get back to it (When i get the strenght to do so) is to impliment a timer. So that the game will run on a specific framerate, and not lagg around whenever it wants or whatever! Hehe (:

Just watched my little brothers playing GTA san andreas multiplayer. It was kind of fun to watch.

And then i decided to go for a walk.. Which is where the project comes in

The project

Just got home from a shorter walk. It was shorter mostly cause of the cold. -20C
But while walking.. I had this really neat idea.. Something that i should have done a very long time ago.
I was thinking for myself.. "Why not use maplestory sprites and such for your game?"
And this it struck me.. I've been stuck on that project for almost one year now (11 months, around) and i've not been able to do anything on it mostly cause of not having any sprites!!
When i got stuck, i told myself that i was gonna keep it as original as possible, with my own graphics and everything. I even made some sprites myself actually

But i can't really animate any more complex 2d sprites then that, myself. Sure, i could keep a simplistic look like "Within a deep forest" and "Knytt quest" (Which is one of my inspirations) or something like that. But i honestly found that to be kind of hard to do as well :/

So yea.. Now i'm gonna rip Maplestory sprites from maplesim and other maplestory sprites from perion corner :]
It's gonna be fun to replicate the system that they used in that game actually. But i'm also gonna take it even further.. By enhancing the icon interface.
A lot of the sprites that were interface only was mostly icon based. And i always liked that type of look. The only problem with it was that it looked a little too simple and that it wasn't that easy to use due to it's basic design.

But i'm gonna take that and make it a little better as well.
Then i'm gonna make some obvious changes like: Remove grinding, add phases to more complex bosses (In other words. Instead of making it ONLY endurance, i'm gonna make bosses have patterns and such as well), and tweak a lot of other stuff. All i know is that it's gonna be really fun.

Anyway though. Here's the engine i made back then...

...that i got stuck on cause i didn't really have any sprites or anything. It wasn't exactly a realized idea at that point.
But now, i feel very motivated to do it and i hope that i'm gonna get this to work pretty soon.. (:
Of course, i'll have baby steps at first. You know.. Only use one little sprite that's animating properly and keep building the rest as i go n.n

But WOW!!
I mean. I have SOOO many ideas poping into my head now! It's amazing!! I made this a few seconds ago actually. Gonna trace it and make a drawing of it in photoshop soon! (:

Oh, i'm gonna make that avatar the mascot of the dev diary which i'm gonna keep in a seperate blog starting tomorrow x3
The console will feature her having a speach bouble and all the commands and everything.. Ahhhhh!!! So many great ideas! I can't wait!

Oh, and this is kind of old news by now. But James Rolfe, creator of AVGN has decided to only update with one AVGN episode once per month or even less now.
He says that it's gonna give him more time to do other pojects cause the AVGN one took away so much of his time.

I personally think this is both a good and a bad idea. Mostly cause he just doesn't seem very into the whole thing anymore.
It's definitely gone from angry to informative, i give you that much. The angry parts are not genuine anymore and feels forced for the most part.
Don't get me wrong though, i love the new pace that he has now, it's still enjoyable to watch. But it's nowhere near as fun as it used to be.

And.. I mean.. Once a month..
It really feels that he's beginning to wrap up the series.
He should do the ET review now, while he's still somewhat on a roll.

Today has been a really sweet day. I've been feeling all mellow and awesome the whole day. With quite a few things to do. Only been a little bored from time to time, but mostly, just an awesome day.

But still.. With this awesome day, also came the snowy weather.. Seriously, it's an actual blizzard.
Where snow comes from the ground more then it comes from the sky.. I'm telling you, it's crazy.
Some weather expert group in Sweden also warned a lot of areas that there would be snow that will cause a lot of damage. Especially at the place where my biggest big sister lives. Göteborg.
Other then the wind causing damage. The snow itself has done just as much. A lot of roofs has been collapsing cause of the weight of the snow! O_o

I've been talking a little with my little brothers and just having a good time.. A nice weekend! (:

Rant about ignorance regarding crossdressing

I wrote this a little earlier when i was thinking about some people i know are arrogant twats:

"You're a pretty narrowminded person if you hate someone for crossdressing.
You wanna know why?
Well.. Cause hating something or someone just cause they're different is nothing but stupid and narrowminded.
It's ok if you want to laugh for seeing something for the first time, and you think it looks silly.

Like if you're seeing a midget for the first time, or a person with different color, or a different language.
You might want to laugh then, that's only normal. But would you really want to hate someone for it.

There's a lot of different words for people who hate on these things. One is racist, one is discriminating. And the list just goes on.
But all of them can be summed up with one word.. "Idiot".
Get a grip and start accepting people for who they are, you arrogant, ignorant, narrowminded, stupid jerk."

It's usually not like me to use words like "stupid" and "jerk". But a person who can't accept someone for not following a norm of our culture is a stupid jerk. Plain and simple.

Well.. Today was TJ's birthday (You know, that guy i ranted a little on earlier). I don't really care that much about his birthday in all honesty.
But there was one thing in particular that i cared about, regarding him today.

There was this person who wrote something on TJ's facebook status that really got me wondering..
This person wrote "Thanks for being born"..
I thought that was a really sweet thing to say/Write. I kept thinking for myself: "What if i had a person who honestly said that to me?"
It really made me hope for that to happen. If not, then maybe i'll say that to someone when i feel that i really mean it. Made me happy to ponder about though. (:

The noobtoob forums

So today, i finally started using the noobtoob forums for real (:
It was pretty exciting actually. xD
As silly as that might sound.

So yea.. I made a thread to introduce myself to everyone. Everyone seem pretty nice.
I entered their "IRC" chat as well. It was.. Um.. Kind of fun, i guess.
I got kind of lost on the IRC chat though, to be honest.
But i guess everything will be a little better once i get used to the forums and the people on it n.n

I've been quite busy today actually.
Woke up this morning, had to go to that course again. Which was fine, i guess.
Except for the cold and the wind.
I wouldn't have minded it so much if the wind didn't blow in my face.. But that it did! And it was annoying as all hell. ;O

Then i did some shopping.. And.. Well.. I guess that was that. I slept a little in the middle of the day as well.
Kind of a boring day i guess.

But a little later, i watched some more "HCBaily" on youtube. I think he's really great with his LPs.

Why am i bewildered?

I for one am betting that it's gonna be okami though. Cause he's said that he's gonna do a newer game and that he was playing Okami earlier.

But yea. The 3 hints that he's given for the new project makes no sense and will probably be very very far-fetched.

This was mostly a psyche out though.. So i donno if i should say much about it cause of that.
He was very clever for doing that actually. To put it short though. They're probably some of his more simple hints.

Even me, who's studdied programming didn't think he'd pick something as far-fetched as a word "Super class", which isn't even used that often among programmers.

The school one though, was kind of good though. After all, Mario is a famous name for the videogame character, and i think i speak for all of us that we KNOW we should search for videogame related things while figuring out the hints.
Which is a problem with his hints. They're usually very nerdy, in-depth and specific. Quite simply, if you don't know anything about the game, you won't be able to figure out the LP.

But the biggest one that makes no sense to me, even now that i know the game. Is this last one.

You see.. The problem with it is that it can be tied to any 3d mario game.. Mario 64 cause of the name, Galileo. He was born in a 64 date and died on a date that had 64 in it. So that's the nr 64 appearing two times.

Then.. I mean.. Sun? The word galaxy was in the title as well. Super mario galaxy was out at the time this hint was written. So even if you figured "Mario" and "Super", you'd still have a hard time knowing which one of these mario games it would be. Plain and simple. These are his most poorly written hints yet.

All in all.. The complexity and variety of these hints are stunning.
One time, it's a word hidden within a sentence, and the second time, it's what numbers equals that matters, and in another one, it's a word lingo..

So we have here.. Obvious word, a lingo of a word and something you need to have knowledge of before hand.
Sorry. But i can't give that a pass, even though the hints might be pretty obvious if you KNOW what game it is that you're talking about.
Which is one of Emile's (Chuggaaconroy's) biggest flaws.. That he has little understanding of his audience.

But to sum this all up.. He does know something about his audience i think. I mean, some people have actually figured out his hints before. Very few of them, but still.
But the problem i have is that the hints are not really made for a casual person like me.. I hardly know any of the lingo he's talking about and i don't know THAT much about the games..

Also. Why should i care so much. I like it that he's actually trying to get his audience involved in the projects that he's making.
It's what makes chuggaaconroy, Chugga A Conroy. I also think that this is one of the reasons for his success. That's he's being so open to the community. Dispite having such a huge fanbase.

Has been a good day. I feel that i'm really starting to get a little better from not chatting on MSN now.. I wonder if i was sort of addicted to use that program or something.. Hum..
Well. I'll only go on there if someone wants me to now (:
Instead of constantly being on there.

Anyway.. So today has been kind of a life-changing day.
First of, i went to that school i talked about.
It was an ok school, and i got a tour over it.. But meh.. They didn't really have what i wanted.
Sure, their designs were really good and all (A design type of school), but i didn't like that they didn't focus on web-design. Which was what i kind of wanted.. Oh wells.

Then i didn't buy any snacks on my way home. EVEN THOUGH i WANTED!! ;O
Dang, was i feeling ever so hungry for it.. But i stopped myself cause on the way to the school.. I kind of started to think about that maybe i should start training everyday. And i won't use "But there's so much snow. BOOOHOOOO!!!" as an excuse. Cause that's just lame.

Then.. After i had come home and been at home for a little while (The meeting at the school started 11am), i decided to take a walk.
Listened to "Smart videogame fan". It was a two and a half hour long episode though. So i'm probably halfway done from where i stopped cause i got home.. xD
All i can say is that it's pretty good so far, except for a pretty long part at the beginning where they talked some magazine. Which was interesting, but was prolonged at least 15 minutes. 15 minutes shorter would have been nice.

Other then all those rather eventful things, i haven't been doing all that much. Mostly just chilling and watching some MCBaily LPs.
Oh, and i also got a new add-on for firefox that lets me see similar sites (Comparing to the site that i'm currently at) via a nice dropdown. So that was nice.
Oh, and lastly, i added a few new RSS feeds from a few people :]
Including a blawg!! (more on that one later)

I wrote this a little earlier today, regarding AmazingAthiest's thoughts on videogames as an artform.. I kind of got a little emotional with it i guess.

"TJ doesn't think that gaming is an artform.
I think he's gonna have to explain himself a little more then that since the subject of gaming is a lot bigger then music, movies and all of that combined.
Especially now that he's basically written that:

"Art is the expression of intellect and emotion through the use of symbolism (be it music representing feelings, or characters representing ideologies or brush strokes representing the anguish of the hand applying them) which elevates the human spirit or enlightens or conveys a specific thought or feeling to the audience."

So according to him, the inspiration that i've gotten from games are false. The feelings that i've felt from games, are false.
Games are also, according to him, devoid of any kind of symbolism, and games can't have intellectual content or emotion.
He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about when he's saying that gaming isn't art. Cause according to his definion.. It pretty much sounds like it is art.
Either that, or everything i've ever felt for a game has all been false.

It's not that i minded what he said so much, when he just said that gaming isn't art. I mean, for all i knew, the definion of art could be anything to him. So whatever.
But then he wrote his definiton of the word, and i noticed that he was simply wrong.

Oh, and then there's "freespeech.com", which is an ok site, i guess. But does everyone who ever sends in videos have to between the ages 18 to 30, and do all of them have to use some sort of curseword in their titles?
It feels to me, that they're just trying too hard.
Using cursewords all the time will just make you look like an ass, and it will be very hard to take such a thing serously.

Well.. It's not like he'll ever answer me even if i tried though. But whatever. I've gotten less respect for him cause of the stupid things he's been writing with the whole "gaming isn't art" thing. cause it is. Even if applied to his definition of the word (Which is a pretty good definition, by the way).
It's not like he has to like games or think any highly of the medium, but I'm starting to think that he's trying to see himself as someone who knows everything.
This is, his own opinion, that games are not art. It's not a fact.
Fact is that gaming is art."

All i can really say now, in the end, is that there's two things i don't really agree on with TJ/AmazingAthiest/Terroja. And that's gaming as an artform and the parking space thing.. If you want to watch it..:

I think that being empathetic and thinking how you would have felt in the situation is the way it should be.
TJ is just being.. Well.. Evil, here.

But in all honesty, i think he's just trolling. For whatever reason, i won't really say, cause i have no idea and i won't say things i don't know anything about.

But when ALL is said and done. I like TJ. He's very entertaining with a lot of the things that he does. So it's not like a few disagreements and such is going to make me stop watching him.
I mean, for all i know, half of the things he says and writes about could just be trolling anyway.

Oh, and one last thing i want to mention about TJ, before i move on.
He actually gave a video a 1 star rating today. Which is fine, he can do that if he wants.
But he most likely gave it that cause that person in the video was begging for money via youtube.
Which is funny, cause TJ did the exact same thing.
He's kind of pathetic that way i guess. He has those kind of moments i guess.
Same with when he threatened to sue ED.. But OOOHHH well!!
No one's perfect.

In other media

Chuggaaconroy is nearing the end of his wind waker LP now as well. Which is pretty cool..
All that editing made the LP a lot shorter then it could have been. All in all, he says it's gonna end up 70 parts (Which is short).
And in old Chuggaaconroy fashion, he's giving out hints to the next LP. He's just like he's saying: "Very mysterious".
Fact of the matter is that he hasn't even showed his real face on the internet yet xD
But oh well. Hehe. We'll see if that day will come.

Update

Today has been a nice day actually.
Reason why i cried yesterday was cause i realized that i was alone and that i've done so many bad choices in my life.
But that ends now.

For starters, i would like to say this:

"Decided to stop using MSN now.
Anyone who want's to chat with me, just notify me where-ever you like. Twitter or whatever. Tell me you wish to chat for a while or whatever.
But unless i'm actually chatting, i won't go on any IM program.
I mean, if you truly thought that chatting with me was fun and all, it's as easy as just telling me that through IM on youtube, twitter, facebook and so on. (:
All the links are at the upper right corner of this blog. Easy, huh?

And to anyone who might take offense and say: "OH, so you just don't want to chat with me anymore, that's exactly what it is! Ahhhhh!". Then please calm down. I'm doing this for several reasons.
One is that i just don't want my PC to lag for a process that is not being used for the most part.
Two is that i don't like chatting via an IM client. I'd much rather that people would add me on skype and mic-chat/voice-chat with me there. It's a lot more fun (:
Three is that i'm just tired of MSN. I honestly don't think it's getting with the times.. All other IM clients i'm reading about are all putting integrations to several networks. Like facebook, skype, msn and what not. In other words. One client to chat with everyone.
To me, MSN is just a shoebox that doesn't lead to anywhere. From now on, chatting with be done for the fun of it, not cause i feel lonely or whatever.

I'll say it again. If you need me, it's as easy as just googling where i am, PMing me through a link that's on this blog or even send me an email. I always check my emails.
Please don't take this the wrong way. It's not that i hate the people that i chat with, or is tired of them. It's just that i want to preserve my sanity by socializing in real life instead of having that replacement. It's for my own good, and if you honestly think that it's about you, then i think you're rather selfish. For once in my life, i'm actually thinking about myself.

WoW story

James Swan is 27-year-old. He still lives with his mom, sleeping in a room with his younger siblings. He also likes to play World of Warcraft without mom telling him when it’s time to quit. We’re pretty sure you can guess where this is going…

He was drinking and playing the game around 10 p.m., getting a bit too loud in the process. Since mom was trying to sleep, as were the five young children in the home, she asked him to quiet down.

Swan refused this small courtesy. So mom asked him again.

But as Swan saw it, it’s impolite to interrupt someone during a riveting session of World of Warcraft. So he grabbed mom by the hair and threw her on the bed. When his little brother tried to intervene, he did the same to him.

Mom bolted to the kitchen to call 911. Swan took a moment from the game to engage in hot pursuit, ripping the phone from the wall. Then, just to put a theatrical point on his displeasure, he smashed his own head through the kitchen wall.

He then threw his mother on the floor and began choking her, saying he was going to kill her. Grandpa heard the commotion and arrived from his room. Mom was blacking out, but grandpa couldn’t get him to stop. Swan also announced that he planned to kill grandpa too.

So grandpa went to his room and got a gun. He and Swan wrestled over the revolver, sending a bullet glancing off Swan’s head and through the living room window.

Swan, apparently only wounded by the shot, was taken to a hospital, where he refused treatment and was arrested.

Today has been a fun day! purr!! <3
I woke up with having my cellphone ring two times. I donno who called until a lot later when i got to my senses.. I think i might have answered it subconsciously xD
Anyway. It ended up with that person sending me an SMS (text) instead. Where she said that i should call "Ide världen". She was probably gonna say that in the phone as well. But my lazy ass made her send an SMS.

So i called this school and asked if i could get a tour over the place, and they said yes (:
This tuesday, at 11am. It's gonna be fun to actually get out properly. To see something that could be my eventual future.
But yea. The translation for the name of the school is "Idea world". Which is a "Qualified working preparations course" (They're changing name of what it's called soon though)
It's all about digital design. So it'll be fun to see if it's something that clicks with me :3

Other then that.. I searched for a few jobs today while AT the course.. So now i have like, 5 jobs i need to call in for and send messages to.

So.......
Today started off really well. With a PM from nintendocaprisun.
Ok.. I should start from the beginning;
Before i went to sleep yesterday, i saw a comment left by NintendoCaprisun on a video (Through the "recent activity" on youtube).
And he mentioned something about how you can be a good LPer. It was a really great piece of advice that i he gave in that comment.
But as i read that comment, i was reminded by the list i made a few days ago. I actually wrote something pretty similar on it.

Ok.. So then i decided to write him a PM, explaining what i had seen and linking him the list that i wrote.
I didn't think he would answer me back, especially not as soon as he did.
But sure enough, i woke up with a PM from him, where he said that he really liked that list, and that it was excellent.

I was pretty shocked to read that PM. But what shocked me even more is when he even took the time to leave a comment on that post.. So that's a reply both through PM and comment on my blog entry.

I mean.. Wow.. I'm at a loss of words.
My expectations to get an answer on it was pretty low as it was. But to get a comment and a reply through PM.
I mean.. Yea. He always answers people and he's one of the most active and fun people i know of. So i don't know how special i should feel that this is.

But i can tell you something that i do know.. And that is that i was humbled by it. It made me feel recognized for once.
I mean.. If anything, it just make me think even more that Tim (NintendoCaprisun) and i are of the same kin.. That is. He resonates very well with me.
I feel that i can trust him.

So yea.. He's made me feel better in so many ways now.

Oh, and a few weeks back, i heard a little about him having financial problems.
But i mean. That was through a video where he explained that it was pretty rough. I didn't think the worst of it..
But sure enough. He disappeared for a few days without any notice. I was wondering where he was and all..

Rest of my day

Other then the humble feeling i've had all day, all thanks to Tim. I've been feeling really good actually.

I decided to give "Smart videogame fan" (A gaming podcast) a try when i went for a walk today as well.
I have to say that i'm glad i did. I was about to stop listening to them all together. But they mentioned some pretty nice stuff in the latest episode. So i'm glad (:

Oh, and probably one of the most beautiful things i've seen in a long time, was the sunset today..
I admired how wonderful it looked like as i could see a forest silluete in the distance. I could see fog on the snowy ground.. Hardly covering anything.
Ugh.. if i had a camera, i'd show you (A good camera, that is) ;O

What more did i do today..
Well.. I've been thinking a little more. I think one of the major draws for me, excluding the whole girl thing.. Is that i'm too scared to be rejected by people. It's not that i can't trust people, cause i do that all the time..
It's just that i don't want to be rejected. :/
I'm gonna have to work on that.

The first thing you might have noticed is that i've changed my avatar of my blog
Someone else drew that for me a long time ago. It's a portrait of me made into a chibi manga :3

Anyway. Today has been a pretty fun day i guess. But like always.. Pretty uneventful. Like most of my life since i quit highschool..
Twitter was going crazy earlier with tweets from a bunch of Swedes who talked about melodi festivalen 2010.. Yea.. It's some musical event where a bunch of mediocre singers and performers gets to show off the power of media hype.
It's pretty interesting that it's gotten so popular actually.
But i won't go into detail of some competition that i find dull, pointless and mediocre at best.

Oh, and the start of the day, i almost thought that my brother was ignoring me.. But i guess he was just busy after all.
Life has been kind of hard for him. But he put himself in that situation by turning down that opportunity. So there you go.

Ah, and the lats thing i guess i could mention is that i helped someone with photoshop CS3 today.
We finally got it to work for her.. After many many tries and a lot of norton antivirus blocks on her side..
I guess she won't really need me anymore now that i've given her the things that she wanted (:
Oh well. That's how it goes.

Fun stuff blog

There's this little project that i haven't really started on yet, that i wish to do..
It's called "Fun stuff blog". Where i, every week, compile a list of all the fun stuff that's been going on during the week.
Just for a fun place to go :3

I'll also compile a list for every month as well. Also year.. (:
It's possible that i'll skip febuary though. (Not in the year section), but in the month and week (This year).

Oh well.. I'll talk more about it when i've started it i guess n.n

One button bob

Oh! And here's a real gem.
I found out about this earlier with someone tweeting about it.

The game is called "one button bob", and the name for that couldn't be more fitting.
Cause you're this treasure hunter named "bob" and on the adventure into the castle, you come equiped with probably one of the most useful features in any game. The "Do it all button".
With it, you can use one button to perform tasks like: Running really fast, throwing boomerangs, jumping high, climbing ladders.. And so on.

But really.. What you do in this game is that you get to different rooms, and in each room, you only use one button to progress.
The gist of the game is that you do different things in every room with this one button.
Either the button will throw a boomerang while the character is moving forward by himself, or it will be used to jump and hop.

The goal is basically to press the single magic button as few times as possible.

Today has been a slow day.
Like. You wouldn't imagine how slow it's been.
The things i did this morning.. I mean. It almost feels like those were yesterday.

We do so little on that course now, that i hardly feel like i'm even going there.. I don't know. I'm probably not making much sense.

So i was reading a blog that a friend wrote.
It was about some stalker that had been following her (Duh!).
But yea.. It made me think a little. Sure, i know that there's a lot of creepy people out there who'll do bad things to you.
But i think that guy who followed her just didn't have much social skills.
For you see.. He actually (3 days of stalking) finally went to her and asked if she wanted to go out.. Yea.. As if'u! Rite?
She did the right choice to turn him down though. But then again, any girl would.
Even someone desperate like me would xD

Ah.. And on a sidenote.. One of my friends broke up with his girlfriend today (She broke up with him) :/
I know that he really loved her and all. They were even engaged actually.. I really feel sorry for him.
I told him he could just chat with me or whatever, if he wanted someone to vent on.

Oh, and it's Darwin day today. I have to admit. As much as i like what darwin has done for us.. It kind of feels loneley when i'm the only one i know who celebrates it.
If i would go to others who celebrated it, i'd have to go to USA :/
Which is a shame, cause a lot of those people who celebrate it usually has very interesting seminars and what not. So that would have been pretty fun.
I mean, even James Randi had one of those. I wish i could go.. Oh well.

Mots people are getting ready to celebrate the 14th though. Which is valentines day.
I personally don't celebrate it cause i've never done it before. But also cause it really doesn't mean much to me. I love everyone that i care about, no matter the day.
But sure, if i ever get a boyfriend who celebrates it and what's to celebrate it with me, then i'd do it, of course (:
But until then, this day isn't really meaning much to me.

Anyway.. I woke up today with writing a few things about youtube.
This is what i wrote about it:

"Sweett!!!!!
It seems that youtube listened to my little rant (Amongst others probably) to add a like button, and how the favorite button does not equal a thumbs up.
But anyway.. If i really think about it. What should they have done anyway?
It's not like a video would work with only thumbs down buttons. They'd all get 1 ratings all the time.

Now, if only they add the % of the thumbs up and thumbs down beside the videos and in the current video, i'll be happy.
Well.. Anyway. for some reason, youtube seems to think that this thing that can be activated through their blog is some kind of exclusive thing.
Cause they forwarded me to a google page which said that, and gave me some information on the matter. But.. It's just a friendly gesture i guess.

Oh, and that new "Autoplay" feature is just annoying. I don't like it. I like commenting on a video, and if a video is going to change without me even getting to comment..
But yea. There should be a turn on and off button for that. If not now, at least later. So i guess it's just for testing purposes for now. (:

It's been going really great for a friend of mine today.
She was having problems with her husband a few months back, and now she's on her feet and is feeling very good without him.
I think they're going to sign the divorce papers soon as well. She's telling me things are going great and that she's feeling free :3
She also has a man she's in love with now as well. He's appearently in love with her too. So that's really awesome n.n
I love when things goes well for my friends.

It's a laugh-fest through and through. You're just sitting there, admiring its incredibly unique nature, and it just throws cleverly put logos everywhere in this world.

Today has been a really tireing day.
I mean, i went to sleep for about 1½ hours around 6pm (I think it was).

Anyway. I woke up around 6:45 or something, cause of today when i went to a town called Gävle with the course.
I actually wrote an entire travelogue about it. It's a shame i forgot a camera though! Cause 2 or 3 pictures while reading would have been nice.
Oh well.

The following is every single thought that i had while being there.
It's all written on my ipod touch, and could have some spelling errors here and there xD

Travelogue

At the moment, I'm riding the buss to where I was supposed to go today.
The weather is really sweet. It's around 8:45am. We're going towards the sunrise (:
It's the kind when there's fluffy covering clouds above you and the only place where it lights up is the sun rising in the horizon.

Sweet. Now you can see the rays pop up from the clouds and the light is getting stronger.
We'll probably get to see the sun shine completely soon.

It was quite a nice morning today. Pretty Tired now though. Went to sleep a little too late yesterday.

It's really warming now. One more month, and we'll near spring. Finally (:

It's really nice to finally go somewhere actually. Even though it's a place I don't like that much.
I wonder what we're gonna do there anyway.
I just hope I won't meet a certain some when we get there (I'll talk about that later in mah blawg)
But then again, I highly doubt she's still in that school anymore.

I never thought about how easy it is to type on this iPod touch.
Awwww.. The sun went back into the clouds. Oh well. I don't mind a little darkness (:
I probably should have charged the iPod before going. But.. I think they'll last. So no worries

Sitting in some seminar about the school in gavle now. It made me alittle more interested actually. With alot of thr things that they. They seem to have programming of many kinds here.

A funny thing that happened was that one of thr girls that presented the school said that there's alot of people in this school... And Chinese.. As if they're not people xD
But really. She didn't mean what she said. She only ment to say that there's alot of people from china here. Around 400, it would seem.

Ok, we're almost done here..

Something that just made me think: "oh! What the hell" was when one of them started talking about some tree that some princess planted or whatever.
I couldn't care less.

Anyway. At thr time of writing this, we're in the school cafeteria. I don't know if I should take any food or anythingng either.

Oh well. We won't be here for too long

And I did eat a good brrakfast before I left. So I think I can be without.

I don't know anyone here, so I can't really socialize with anyone either. Mostly cause everyone else seems to know eachother.
I kind of just feel bad for not really being a part of the group. But in all honesty. I'm too tiered and I kind of feel that walking like this as a group in this school is kind of silly. Like we're back to middle school or something.

But... I'm just tiered and not a very social person.
So it will be to wait this whole mess out.

Oh! And as much as I like this jacket. I have to say. No matter where I get in life. Changing my looks to something more elegant and femenine is a must.

I mean.. I've been keeping this sort of style ever since I was a little shifty kid. XD
Oh well. I'll get to that when I get there I guess.
Maybe I'll buy some nice clothing when I travel a little in Sweden :3

But yea... Around 11:28 now and I'll probably go out to take some fresh air soon.
I guess it wasn't too bad of an ideao go here anyway. Even though I'm not socializing that much. At least I'm going out and somewhere far away for once. That's always a good thing. (:

But now I'll stop writing in the cafeteria for a while. Gotta save some batteries for the trip home.

Damn!! We were just taking a huge u-turn around a few locks for more then 10 minutes just to return to the school where they were.. Oh well. Now to return home. Batteries seems to be around 25% or so. So I should be fine (:

I don't know there's so many people who hates gavle though. I think it's kind of a nice town.

On reflection, I could safely say that I got motivated to apply for school.

I love this.
As more and more days pass, I get more and more interested in starting my life. It's a great motivator and I feel very happy about it.

But even so. I still have this sweeets and snacks addiction that I have to fight, which will probably make me a little depressed.
But I have to remember for myself that this depression comes from me quitting my addiction, and that I should not let it go over other people.

We've theoretically been going for around 1 hour now. And I'm starting to noice he landscape around me.

Call me crazy. But all these thoughts about my future is the only thing that is keeping me distracted from my hunger now.
Will I end up with a sweet boyfriend? Will I get a nice job or end up in school again?
Will I finally be a part of a group?

We should be in bollnas In at least 36 minutes from now. Can't wait. First thing I'm Gonna do is to buy myself a hotdog.. With majo.. Hope it's a long hotdog.. Mmmm.. Maybe I'll lick it a little first! xD

Videogame stuff

So yea.. Since i've been gone for most of the day and slept for quite some time and just felt generally tired, i haven't really been on the internet all that much.

But i do have two things that i found out about today. (:

First of is this interesting thing.

Yes, new pictures of what is to come for the 5th generation of pokemon is here.
I hope that they'll make a new engine for the graphics though. Pokemon works wonderfully on the DS though, so i hope they'll stick to that console.

Here's a guy i can't believe that i never noticed before:

I really loved his collection of strange videogame related things.
I mean.. I've been kind of interested in the nintendo64 DD for quite some time now, but never really looked up that much information about it.
And here he comes. All i did was to search for an n64 review, and found that golden gem.

Anyway.. to end it off.. I've been really interested in reading other peoples blogs as of late. Which is awesome, cause there's some great things to learn from those. (:
